The Night I Said I Love You.

Laying next to you in the passenger seat, our chairs reclined as far as they'd go. In a dim car only barely illuminated by a street light from afar. Using eachother for warmth in the crisp air. We embrace, lips interlocking, placing our hands on eachothers backs. Skin on skin. I lift your head up by your chin, as I'd done so many times before- "I really like you". Eyes widening, you knew what I was going to say. "Maybe even... love you?" As if I was checking it was okay to say, here in this tranquil moment. "I love you too". You bury your head in my chest, grabbing tightly letting out tears hearing those words  I just hold you and say it again. "I love you".
